There is no doubt how popular Blueberries are, second only to Strawberries, and how healthy those sweet and sometimes tart blueberry fruits can be has been well documented over the years. From preventing cancer to lowering blood sugar,  preventing eye damage and keeping our cognitive functions firing. Now you can grow your favorite blueberries right in your back yard or field. They make a perfect addition to any landscape. They live very long, can get up to 12 feet tall if you let them, have beautiful flowers in the spring and great red color in the fall and winter.

Grover's Blueberries have been in the business since it began. Our ancestors helped cultivate the first blueberry bushes even having them named after us (Grover) and others that we have cultivate through the years are still in wide production today (Jersey). Our Blueberry Stock is Grade A Certified. 

 Current Blueberry Bush Varieties We Offer in order of fruiting season:

Early to Late Early: Hannah's Choice, Duke, Earliblue, Northland, Spartan, Patriot, & Sweetheart

Mid to Late Mid: Blueray, Bluejay, Sierra, Toro, Chandler, Bluecrop, Nelson, Berkeley & Elizabeth

Late to Latest:  Herbert, Rubel, Legacy, Jersey, Coville, Darrow, Late Blue & Elliott

Year to year stock availability may change and some years we may have added other varieties not yet listed. We WILL NOT substitute a customer chosen variety without 1st speaking with our customer! 

Approximate  Blueberry Bush Sizes:

1 year old rooted cutting's: 8 to 11 inches tall,  min. 3 inches new growth.

3 year old: 12 to 18 inches, with many times being taller!

4 year old: 18 to 24, with many varieties being 30 inches tall+

You should pick the blossoms from the 1 & 2 yr. old plants, to give extra strength to the plant & root system.

Pick the berries from 3 yrs and older plants.

Blueberries need a soil PH. of 4.5 to 5.5 with 4.8 being ideal. You can add sulfur usually 1 lb. per. 100 sq. feet, or a nitrate, rotted dead leaves, pine needles, peat moss to help lower the soil PH. if needed. Most states have a state or county agriculture agent that can best advise you on growing blueberries in your area, but I am always happy to answer questions you may have!
